Cancellations and Refunds
Reservations are only confirmed upon receipt
of a non-refundable deposit or full payment.
Cancellation 48 hours prior to your arrival or less you will be charged the
first night of the accommodation amount.
A full refund, less $10 booking fee will be given if your booking is cancelled
at least 72 hours before your planned arrival
There will be no fee reduction or
refund for early departure and late arrivals.
The booking fee is
non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, you are not to
arrange for anyone else to use the booking.
Online Payment: All online bookings made on
our website are charged at the time of booking using a valid credit card (Visa
and MasterCard) and the card number, expiration date and card security code (CCV)
must be entered to complete this transaction.
Online payments are made via our
payment platform using a third-party provider with security settings that are
compliant with all New Zealand regulatory and statutory regulations.
International Payments: Prices are advertised
in New Zealand dollars so the amounts charged to credit card payments may
fluctuate due to exchange rate fluctuations as bookings are converted into New
Zealand dollars at the exchange rate on the day it is processed. If any cancellations
are refunded, then these are also processed in New Zealand dollars at the exchange
rate on the day that the refund is processed so there may be a variance to the
initial amount charged. Cheviot Motels, Cabins and Camp are not liable for any
exchange rate variances.
Any refunds will only be made to
the same credit card debited for the original transaction.
If a NO SHOW you will be charged
the full price of your stay
Bookings made through third
parties are subject to that particular company’s policy.
If you have not arrived or
contacted us within 24 hours after the original arrival date, we have the
discretion to cancel your reservation
By providing a method of deposit
for your booking, you hereby agree to the Cancellation Policy.
Children 2 years of age and under
are free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult.
A child rate is applied
for children 12 years of age and under
Responsibility for each booking
must be with a named person over the age of 18 and this person must be staying
onsite.
Should you experience any
difficulties with your accommodation, please contact the office during your
stay to register your concern. Every effort will be made to rectify the
situation and make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
All caravans must have a current
Electrical Warrant of Fitness. You will not be able to plug in without it.
An approved RCD cord is to be
used if using power in tents.
In the interests of safety when
setting up, please ensure that solid walls of any tent, caravan, motorhome or campervan
are no less than one metre from any internal campsite boundary. This is a
requirement under Fire, as well as Health and Safety Regulations. This applies
even if you have family and friends occupying an adjoining site.
Smoking is not permitted in any
of our facilities or amenities areas.
We are a semi-pet-friendly; as in pets are welcome in our camping area but are not permitted in any buildings ie. Motels, Cabins, kitchen and ablution block,
management reserves the right not to accept any dogs into the property.
If management discover pets have been in units,
you will be charged for cleaning.
All dogs must be on leads at all times around
the property and must be cleaned up after.
We request that guests follow the
Covid-19 guidelines as set out in the Covid-19 Protection Framework such as
maintaining social distancing during their stay and wearing masks if in
communal areas with other groups, and in the office.
Consideration to other guests and
staff must be shown at all times.
Anyone obstructing, disturbing or interfering
with any other persons’ use or enjoyment of the property. Foul, abusive,
indecent or obscene language (this includes abusive language, aggressive or
argumentative attitude displayed toward employees and management), or being
intoxicated, noisy, riotous, or to misbehave in any other way could result in
immediate expulsion from the property without a refund.
All criminal behavior
will be reported to the New Zealand Police.
Noise levels are to be kept to a
reasonable level at all times. Quieter hours are between 10.30pm and 7.00am.
Visitors are permitted as a
courtesy and should depart by 10.00pm.
Booked guests are responsible for the behavior
of their visitors onsite.
Damage to Cabins or motel units
should be reported immediately to the office.
Any extra cleaning, repairs or
replacements required to restore our guest rooms or property to its normal
condition will be charged to the registered guest at replacement cost or market
rates, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.
Lost keys will be charged at $25 per key
